Structural engineering inspections

Before buying a home or making decisions about an existing property, you need to know whether it is structurally safe. We inspect residential and commercial properties throughout Pittsburgh and Southwestern PA, document visible conditions and prepare a report identifying deficiencies and needed corrective work.

Inspection & report

What we evaluate. What you receive.

We inspect accessible structural conditions, document the evidence and explain what it means for the property and the next decision.

Foundation

Foundation cracks, bowing or leaning basement walls and settlement

Floors

Uneven or sloping floors, floor cracks and heaving

Framing

Sagging floors or beams and damaged structural components

Moisture

Water infiltration affecting visible structural conditions

The written report documents observations with photographs, likely causes and clear recommendations. It is signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer and may serve as a Structural Adequacy Report when a lender requires one.

Signed and sealed structural inspection reports

After the report is complete, Gary signs and seals it, making it a legal engineering document.

The signed and sealed report is recognized by:

Building inspectors

Banks

Insurance companies

Mortgage companies

Pennsylvania courts

“Gary took the time to evaluate my structural issue and wrote up an assessment. He also gave me recommendations for resolving the problem and explained what was wrong and what actions were needed for repair.”
